What you will need
Staple Pantry Items
Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1 Tablespoon of Extra Virgin Olive Oil
4 Cloves of Fresh Garlic
1 Stick (1/2 Cup) of Butter
Pinch of Salt
Before you begin
Add your saucepan to the stove on medium heat.
Using your microplane, grate 4 Cloves of Fresh Garlic into the saucepan.
If you do not have a microplane, use a knife and cutting board to chop the Garlic finely.
Add 1 Tablespoon of Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Stir the Garlic as the Oil begins to sizzle.
Once sizzling, turn the heat down to low.
You do not want the Garlic to brown. Sautéing the Garlic and Oil only awakens the flavor. Make sure you are cooking at low temperatures to prevent the Garlic from browning.
Add 1 stick (1/2 Cup) of Butter with a pinch of salt to the saucepan.
Let simmer until you melt the Butter entirely.
After this, the Garlic Butter is ready to enjoy!
The longer you let the Butter and Garlic simmer, the better it will taste.
Can I keep the leftovers?
Absolutely. The Butter will taste better the longer it marinates with the Garlic. Keep some Garlic Butter made in the fridge, then reheat it when needed.
How long with the Garlic Butter keep?
Place the leftover Garlic Butter in an airtight container and store it in your refrigerator. The Garlic Butter will last seven days.
